knights of columbus help mentally challenged children

IRMO- Our Lady of the Hills Knights of Columbus Council 6892 will hold a community fundrasier breakfast for the mentally challenged and handicapped on September 29m 2012. The event will be held from 7 a.m.-10:30 a.m., at Fatz Cafe, located at 7420 Broad River Rd, in Irmo.

Tickets for the Fundraiser Breakfast, which will benefit South Carolina Special Olympics, and the Pendergrass-Fairwold School, here in Columbia, are $7.00. Tickets may be purchased in advance or at the Fatz Cafe, on the day of the event.

Also, on the weekend of September 14-16, the Knights of Columbus will be handing out free Tootsie Rolls, and accepting donations at the following grocery stores: Wal-Mart Stores at 418 Bush River Road, 1180 Dutch Fork Road, 360 Harbison Blvd., and Kroger's Grocery Store at 7467 Woodrow Street in Irmo. The Irmo Knights of Columbus will also be at the Sam's Club on Harbison Blvd., on the
weekend of September 21-23.

This fundraiser , called Operation H.O.P.E (Helping Other People Everyday), is a nationwide Knights of Columbus Event. The purpose of Operation H.O.P.E is to benefit charities that work to assist and enhance the lives mentally challenged citizens within their individual communities.
