Knights of Columbus donates three thousand dollars worth of labor and supplies to repair church property

Irmo Knights of Columbus Donates Labor and Supplies to Replace Roof on Church Picnic Shelter

IRMO- Father Frederick Suggs Knights of Columbus Council 6892, in Irmo, donated supplies and two

days of labor to repair the roof on the parish picnic shelter, which had been severely destroyed

through years of water damage and age.

The project in which twenty one of the council's knights participated, was led by recently

exemplified 4^th degree Knight, Jose' Rodriquez, a professional contractor, and council Grand

Knight Gerald Cotoure.

According to Council Grand Knight, Sir Knight, Gerard Cotoure. Donation of labor and supplies

by the council saved the church approximately three thousand dollars.

New South Carolina Secretary of Education needs to also hold parents accountable

ZAIS NEEDS TO HOLD PARENTS JUST AS ACCOUNTBLE FOR STUDENT SUCCESS

First, I should preface my remarks by objectively pointing out that while Secretary Zais' success in raising the academic standing of Newberry College, may go unchallenged, it is only fair to also point out that South Carolina's new Secretary of Education has no experience in dealing with pre-college students or their parents and teachers, except from personal experience in his own role as a parent. These points are not raised to discredit Secretary Zais or his plans to improve education in South Carolina, but to merely allow the reader to make an educated and objective judgment in regards to them, and any related comments made in this editorial.

Recently, South Carolina's new State Superintendent of Education, Mick Zais, a former Army General, who as a college president rescued that same college from being a poor performing college to what many have referred to as a college revered for academic excellence, released a statement on how he plans to raise public education standard in South Carolina.

Specifically, Secretary Zais, would like to pay teachers based on merit rather than their credentials. For example, a teacher will not merely get paid because that teacher has a degree and several years of experience in teaching the subject matter, but on how well that teacher;s students do in the areas of grades and graduation rates. While Secretary Zais' reasoning of of weeding out the bad teachers is certainly justifiable, he need to put the success of South Carolina's public school system into proper perspective by holding parents equally accountable for their children's success. Otherwise he will end up hurting South Carolina's Education system more that it helps.

Since Mr. Zais has no experience working within the public school system, or even with teachers, students, and teachers outside of a collegiate environment, he would be best advised to remember that

any educator, social worker or parent worth his or her salt will admit that good education not only begins, but is reinforced at home. As a matter of fact, this is why many parents and experts feel that home schooling. Magnet schools, and virtual schools have becoming increasing popular over the years.

The fact is a teacher can do everything that he or she needs to to make sure that students are academically successful, but if parents are not reinforcing those efforts through active involvement with the school system teacher, and child, those efforts are going to have a limited an even non-existent positive effect on the student's educational success.

Many parents will even use the excuse that it is inconvenient for them to attend a quarterly parent teacher-conference and are unable to find a combined three or four hours a months to attend a school board meeting, or PTO/PTA meeting, because they already spending an extra 20 or more hours a week taking their kids to extra-curricular activities, in the name of making sure that child is well-rounded, and academically competitive.

If Secretary Zais plans to hold parents accountable for being involved in their children;s educations, how does he plan to do so? He can't make their involvement mandatory. He can't fire them, or affect their paychecks. These are issues Secretary Zais needs to also address in order to improve our state's public school rankings.

Columbia Transit system is broke, buses about to be cut

Bus System to be cut seventy-five percent in 2011, with possibility of going out of business in 2012.

The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (CMRTA) recently announced that following the failed referendum to pass a penny sales tax in Richland County to repair roads, and support the transit system, that bus services will likely be cut no less than seventy-five percent. This will include the Dial A Ride Transit (DART) service for the disabled. According to Joyce Dickerson CMRTA chairperson, and Richland County Councilperson, the DART services, which travel three-quarters of a mile further than the regular buses, may only legally run at the same time the regular buses are in operation. This means that if the cuts take place on April 1, 2011, the DART system will only be available to the disabled between 5 a.m. until 10 a.m., and 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., with total elimination of weekend service. Up until this time the bus system has been supported the ten dollar additional automobile property tax that was adopted in 2006 that will cease to exist as of June 2011. As well as a one time federal grant received by the CMRTA in March.

CMRTA board members and others in favor of the penny sales tax pointed out the rise in unemployment and the inability to attract business that occurred within the the Charleston area, when they voted the same way, a few years back. Many of those opposing the penny sales tax were business people in the “Five Points,” and Vista” area, and CMRTA board member Tommy Windsor, who opposed it on the grounds that it would hurt business. However, the Columbia Chamber of Commerce came out in favor of the penny sales tax, stating that if the bus system was cut, fewer people would be working, which would in turn mean that businesses would be making less money. Among those losing jobs, if the cuts take place on April 1, 2011, will be transit employees. Specifically, forty bus drivers, twelve DART bus drivers, four mechanics, and ten supervisors and staff members. If these take place, they will only allow the buses to run until September 30, 2011.

According to CMRTA board member, Frannie Heizer, who gave the budget briefing during the executive board meeting that took place prior to the regular public meeting, the firing of the sixty-six transit employees would by itself, be a gross loss of 2.2 million dollars to the community. “This is what those people who voted against the penny tax have done to this community. I just hope they can sleep at night,” said Dickerson who has since become a a very vocal supporter of the sales tax, since her and Richland County Council's 2008 vote to disallow a referendum on the penny sales tax.

According to South Carolina State Law the penny sales tax may only be included on a referendum during a general election year. However, even if a penny tax referendum passed in 2012, the money would not be likely allocated to CMRTA, until early 2013, and the CMRTA and its member municipalities would need to find the money to fill that unfunded period of time. On the other hand, if a 2012 referendum fails, the bus system will without a doubt dissolve, due to lack of funding.

On December 20^th, Richland County Council, the City of Columbia, and the CMRTA will be holding a public meeting at the Richland County Public Main Library, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The purpose of the meeting will be to public input, before voting on the proposed changes in late January 2011. Meanwhile the CMRTA is finding ways to raise money to avoid the cuts. Among the ways that this is being done are the sale or leasing of land on River Drive, selling the eight additional buses and trolleys owned by the CMRTA, and possibly applying to the secretary of state for non-profit status, so that the CMRTA may raise funds through grants and donations. Also, beginning January 1, 2010, all bus riders will be required to pay an additional seventy-five cents for each transfer, the five CMRTA administrative employees will be furloughed for one day a month, for the state amount maximum of ten months, and off duty City of Columbia Police officers will no longer be used in addition to t he regular security guards at the transit station, where recently released prisoners are dropped off.

Why Haley Election could cause South Carolina to become a national role model for 21st century diversty

Haley Election could be used as historical model in diversity for rest of country

Tuesday, November 2, 2010, I had the privilege of witnessing what will inevitably go down in South Carolina History, as a “landmark moment.” I am of course referring to the election of Nikki Haley as the first Female and Minority governor of a state that has been governed by Caucasian males, since its creation as British Colony in 1729.

However, I believe that my more illustrious colleagues in the media have either not realized, or have overlooked the importance that the governor-elect's “historic” accomplishment lies not so much in her gender and ethnicity, but more importantly, what appears to be the consistent diversity of her supporters, since she entered the race for governor. In the opinion of this observer, the socio-economic, ethnic, racial, and even political make up of Haley's supporters is an indication that as chief executive of South Carolina, she has the very real potential to unify what is often seen as the one of the most ethnically and politically polarized states in the country, in manner, that could be used as a positive model for the rest of this country.

As someone of a diverse racial background and upbringing, this is not a statement that I make lightly. During the course of the evening, and throughout her campaigns, I have noticed individuals of every background imaginable, including people who who have sworn they would never vote for a Republican candidate. This is not to state that Governor-Elect Haley will not have opposition from various political and ethnic groups, because she will. Such opposition is an inevitability. It is merely pointed out that in the opinion of this writer, that more than any other governor of my recollection, Governor-Elect Haley has the greatest potential to appeal to a greater number and a more diverse group of current and future residents of South Carolina. I believe this not merely because of her gender and her ethnicity, but also because her demeanor.

Whereas, other candidates have secluded themselves with the help of their entourages, Iy has been my observation, that then Candidate Haley had consistently made herself available to media and voters/ While it may be argued that this is a popular way to get the most votes from the greatest number of people, this observer believes Governor-Elect Haley's efforts to reach out to the most diverse section of the state possible, are sincere. When one considers that for the past two years ,South Carolina's politicians from both sides of the aisle have made South Carolina a national punchline for every comic and news talk host out there, having a state led by a governor who will sincerely reach out and appeal to as many groups of people, is extremely important.

When Haley gave her acceptance speech, she pledged that regardless of whether you voted for her or not, or whatever a person's background, she would work for every South Carolinian.

It is the sincere hope of this journalist, that he is correct in believing that Haley will follow through on this pledge. At the same time, it is up to all South Carolinians to make sure that Governor-Elect Haley does follow through, by staying informed.

The star's agent Ms. Cynthia Jackson of La Kisha Jones Music just have waited to release Since Ms. Jones' 2007 “American Idol “ appearance she has been chosen for several acting and singing jobs on Broadway, and in television and movie roles. Comments to CMRTA concerning board members comments opposing support of bus system

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Keith Seymour, and I am a bus rider, and I have also been a car driver, and maybe a driver at some point again. However this meeting is not about me, but about what is best for this community, and how the importance of a viable transit system. In that vain, I will make my comments short, but they will not be sweet!

The CMRTA board has worked too long and too hard over the past several years to sustain and improve the bus system, including but not limited to the CMRTA and others finally convincing Richland County Council to agree to put this penny sales tax on a referendum. Now during this time, I have been both one of the CMRTA's biggest critics and biggest defenders, depending on my feelings concerning those efforts.

I also wish it to be noted that I have always thought well of Mr. Tommy Windsor in regards to my dealings with him at transit meetings, and as a result of his association with at the former Epilepsy Foundation of South Carolina. Therefore, I have nothing personal against him.

However, I absolutely refuse to keep quiet about what I see as comments that have the potential to dangerously perpetuate an attitude that will lead to the economic destruction of both the bus system and the City of Columbia.

In my opinion, CMRTA board member. Windsor's comments to the press and public, opposing the passage of this referendum, are potentially detrimental not only to the well-being of bus riders, but to the growth of this community. At the very least he has presented an image problem concerning the CMRTA's sincere advocacy on behalf bus riders and drivers, as well as negating how this penny sales tax has the very real potential to benefit the economic growth of individuals and businesses within our community, in the long run.

The bottom line is that I feel the best course of action, is for the City of Columbia, who appointed Mr. Windsor to the CMRTA, to relieve him of status on this board, and replace him with someone who will actively work to help this bus system and this community grow.

Thank you for hearing me out on this matter. I sincerely hope my advice is heeded.

I recently attended one of many many meet and greets for gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley, and like many other people, I also attended the recent rally at the state house, where former vice-presidential candidate and former governor of Alaska, Sara Palin endorsed Representative Haley in her Republican Primary bid for governor of South Carolina. This appearance by

Now, over almost a a twenty year period, I have attended so many of these events as a journalist, public relations person, and private citizen and voter, that I am rarely impressed by the speeches made, and much less by the candidates themselves. In all honesty, I find most to be run of the mill necessary evils, I need to attend to stay informed. Therefore, Governor Palin's appearance, although impressive and a definite boost for Haley, is not what caused me to see Haley as a more viable candidate. Quite honestly, I thought Governor Palin was an effective cheerleader, who rattled off a bunch of crowd pleasing cliche's. Whereas, Representative Haley in my opinion gave the crowd the straight talk that they needed. I originally saw Representative Haley as the definitive “dark horse candidate.” The fact that she was willing to against more visible opponents such as Lieutenant Governor Bauer, and Attorney General McMaster, not only caused me to believe her elevator not gone all the way to the top floor, it caused me to wonder if had ever even even been installed at the basement level! Needless to say, my opinion has since severely changed!

Origunally, it was between Bauer, (who my mother taught in middle school, and whom I have always respected as good person, since high school) stood up for me against a bunch of bullies, in high school), and McMaster, who I have known since he was my precinct captain, during part of my time tI living in “Five Points.” I consider both friends, and believe both would do a wonderful job as governor. However, I also believe Nikki Haley would do an even better job, and would bring a refreshing and much needed change to both the South Carolina Republican Party, and the state in general. She is younger, and will not be seen as part of the “old guard/ “Good Ole' Boy, Good Gal” system that has often made South Carolina the laughing stock of this country. While Attorney General McMaster is competent and experienced, he does risk being seen seen as a member of the “old guard.”

Representative Haley has already proven she will not be part of this system, by standing up for transparency legislation that resulted in members of her own party retaliating against her, and forcing her off every committee, possible. 'Lieutenant Governor Bauer does not have this problem, and will be like Haley, a governor who is more active within the constituency, and less of an office administrator. Lieutenant Governor Bauer has consistently proven this in every office that he has held. Even in non-election years, unless he is needed for legislative business, he is traveling around the state meeting constituents, and attending town hall meetings. However, the lieutenant governor does have an image problem, that has resulted from a condition many in political life contract. It is called “foot in mouth disease.” While Bauer has several great ideas, instead of initially saying what he means, he has taken to playing to the crowd. While I Bauer and McMaster would be my second and third choices, respectively, I would definitely choose Representative Haley as my first choice. o Let's look at why.

First, Haley is for mandatory term limits, to my knowledge none of the other candidates have pledged to get a term limits law passed. Secondly, Haley believes that the governor and lieutenant governor should run on the same ticket. Bauer has explicitly stated he feel the current two ticket system should remain. This is one of the few although important disagreements, I have had with Lieutenant Governor Bauer since he was Representative Bauer and we first discussed this topic at our ten year high school reunion, in 1997. While I understand Bauer's reasoning, our current two ticket executive office system has often turned out to be a disaster! Not only was it a disaster , when we had a governor and lieutenant governor were in separate political parties, but during the Sanford and Bauer Administrations. It is no secret that our current governor and lieutenant governor have had the most personally and politically adversarial relationship, than probably any governor and lieutenant governor belonging to the same political party, in South Carolina's recent history. Third, while both Bauer and Haley are business people and will run our state as a business, both are grass roots oriented individuals who believe our systems of generational welfare dependency. Haley, will just come out and say what she means, and take the consequences, instead of playing to an audience by using would have been an appropriate “analogy,” if had either been immediately explained or more completely phrased. In other words, Haley is what Bauer was four or five years ago, and what he has the potential to become again. However, this state does not have time to wait for that to happen, unless he instead of Haley ends up in what will inevitably be a run-off in the Republican gubernatorial primary.

I know a lot of people have their doubts about Representative Haley, because she is a female, and has not been in office as long as the others. So let's deal with these issues. First, I\if Haley had the same platform and she was a man, would you have reservations? If the answer is no, then why do you have reservations now? Secondly, while it is true that Haley has only been an elected official for six years,that is the same amount of time it took Lieutenant Governor Bauer to go from private citizen to his current elected position. Let's face it,Lieutenant Governor Bauer had made more positive contributions to this state in his first four years, than Governor Sanford has made during his entire time in office! This is why he is my second choice.

I do not generally make public endorsements. As a matter of fact, I have a general rule that because journalists (including freelance journalists) need to remain impartial and impersonal on such matters, they should refrain from making political endorsements. However, because I believe this candidate to be exceptional in every way, I am publicly stating that Nikki Haley should be every Republican and every South Carolinians choice for governor.

Richter's Recent comments on Connor's Military Service Indicate Lack of Patriotism,
Lack of Leadership Qualities Needed to Help Lead South Carolina

Recently Candidate for South Carolina Lieutenant governor, Larry Richter at a recent forum sponsored by a group of woman Republicans compared his service as a judge who had sent five men to death row, to the life and death decision of Army Veteran and Bronze Star recipient Lt. Colonel Bill Connor. As a “patriotic American, the grandson, son, and nephew of military officers who have seen combat, I feel such a comparison is out of line. Especially since Mr. Richter has never served in the military.

While sending someone to be executed for a crime that they have committed is no small decision, as Mr. Richter pointed out in his rather insulting remarks, that is a very deliberate decision, and a judge has time to consider his options. A soldier must be able to think on his feet, and be ready to adapt to any situation at moment's notice. Furthermore, the outcome of the decision made by a solider in combat is much heavier than that of judge, simply due to the fact that the soldiers decision not only affects the safety of himself and those in which he is put in charge, but the country he charged with defending. It should be also pointed out that our judicial process is such that those men sentenced to be executed had the right to appeal, and there may have been a chance of a commuted sentence or even a reprieve. On the other hand, when a soldier dies or someone in his command is killed because of bad decision, there are no second chances.

It should be noted, while Mr. Richter was safely enjoying the creature comforts and freedoms, available to Americans, Lt. Colonel Connor was putting his life in danger so Richter and others could safely enjoy those comforts and freedoms. Therefore, Mr. Richter's comments were hypocritical and un-American. Considering the fact that South Carolina is home to the largest basic training Army instillation in the world (Fort Jackson), Mr. Richter's comments should be of great concern to the voters in this state. The people elected in this state need to be people who exhibit the ability to respect the abilities, and enhance the moral of those who faithfully serve this country. Whereas Lt. Colonel Connor's actions indicate that he is such a person, Mr. Richter's clearly indicate the opposite.

Furthermore, Mr. Richter's comments contrasting his judicial and legislative to Lt. Colonel Connor's military experience, seem to imply that he feels Connor's executive military experience, in addition to his combat experience, is insufficient experience to lead this state. If my assessment of Mr. Richter's comments are correct, I would suggest to Mr. Richter that holding an executive position that requires someone to consecutively oversee various military units and equipment and operations totaling over $160 million dollars, and later implementing and overseeing the training of junior officers, takes a great deal of administrative skill. I would also contend that anyone selected to be Aide de Camp to a commanding general, and whose service to this country has caused him to be selected for the famous Cambridge “Who's Who” publication, is a leader qualified to oversee the physical, governmental, and fiscal well-being of this state.

In closing, I would like to ask my fellow Americans and South Carolinians a question. “Are you really able to endorse a person who for the purpose of political gain, will attack the intelligence and integrity of a war hero, who has literally risked his life to safeguard our freedoms, or do you feel our state deserves better?” My hope is that it is the latter.

How Cromartie's Constituents Contributed to Cromartie's Actions.

I have been a journalist for close to twenty years in this town,and most of that time, I have dealt with the African-American press. I have been a community advocate for slightly longer. From 1994-2001, I was even public information director for a non-profit organization in Mr. Cromartie's district. During and since that time, I have always be confused that in spite of this man's public known dishonesty, that he has been re-elected. Having said that, I am going to make a statement that will get me in trouble, but needs to be stated. Yes, E.W. Cromartie has caused a lot of people a lot of problems, and he did it with the help of his constituents. They knew about this man's dishonesty, and still re-elected him, when there have been alternatives over the years. Let's look at the fact that prove that Mr. Cromartie's own constituents assisted in creating this situation that has disgraced their district and this city.

Mr. Cromartie has been found guilty of every thing from parking illegally in handicapped zones, and running up expense accounts, to landlord violations and not paying property taxes. As Public Information Director for Waverly United for Action, Inc. neighborhood group, I actually had a run in with him. The situation was at a forum where one of his constituents/tenants complained about the sub-standard conditions of the rat infested apartment building in which she lived. The woman must have been about eighty at the time,and this was in 1995. The woman complained that one apartment in her building was so rat infested that, the rats chewed through the ceiling though the floor, which was a ceiling that landed on her neighbor's bed.Mr. Cromartie's answer was he would get around to it, when he got around to it.
This same man has run up expense accounts, and then had his constituents hold fund raisers to pay off his overspending of "thie" tax dollars. So my question is: Why are they surpised. There is an old saying: If you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem." Columbia District Two residents chose not to be part of the solution, by voting his sorry ass, out of office, so they are part of the problem.
Now, I am not denying that Mr. Cromartie has done a lot of good things for his community such as cleaning up Read Street, the Saxon Homes area, and getting the funding for the Drew Wellness Center. However, to keep re-elect him because of this, when his lack of ethics has become habitual, is like keeping on a dishonest employee, because he came up with some good ideas. As sorry as I feel for the residents of District Two, I also acknowledge that they got that for which they allowed their tax dollars to pay. The real sadness here, is the that if only the District Two residents had exhibited the good sense to vote this man out, when they had the chance, they would not have to deal with the disgrace of knowing that there first and only district representative will now be a “federal” convict. Mr. Cromartie committed his most recent and most criminal acts for one simple reason. He knew he could do it, and either get away with it, and if he got caught his constituents would forgive him, and not hold him accountable. Well, thank goodness the federal government is holding him accountable. Even if it is for less time than anyone else would get, for the same crime.

The best thing that could have happened to Mr.Cromrtie's constituents, and this city, was his being kicked out of office. I am just sorry that it had to be in a manner that will mar the reputation of his constituents, this city, and honest African-American leadership of this town.

Well, it finally happened! Columbia City councilman E.W. Cromartie, who has a list as long both my arms for dishonesty, is finally going to jail. This time it is for Federal Tax Evasion charges.

However, it seems even now this guy is going to get nothing more than a slap on the wrist amount of jail time for his fraudulant behavior. He is living proof of what is wrong with this country, state, and city's legal and political processes.

When a political fat cat ( I use the term in both the figurative and literal senses) that wears gold rim glasses gets a year, and will likely serve only ten months, there is not only something wrong with the person who is in office, but the people who put and kept him there, in spite of his dishonesty. Especially, when in the same situation, any regular person would not see the outside of a jailhouse for a couple of decades, at least.

Life should mean Life: Oppose Parole of Barbara Rossi's Killer

Murderer of Barbara Rossi should serve full life sentence

During the Fall of 1984, one of the most heinous crimes ever a committed in Columbia, South Carolina was committed. A young lady who was a senior at the University of South Carolina, and who had a promising career as a nurse was kidnapped. What made this particular kidnapping so unique was that there was no apparent reason for it, other than victimizing an innocent woman for the sake of it. What also made this kidnapping so unique was the fact that the young lady was kidnapped in “broad daylight,” while walking to her car at a local mall. The end result of this kidnapping was that the young lady was raped and subsequently murdered. The young lady;s name was Barbara Rossi, known to her family and friends as “Bobbi.” The name of the killer, who is now up for parole is Marcellus Pierce. Mr. Pierce was found guilty of the crime, and was sentenced to life in prison., with the possibility of parole. At the time, this was the second highest sentence for such a capital crime at that time.

I did not know Ms. Rossi, however, two of my sisters did since they played on the soccer team that her father's business sponsored. However, the one thing that everyone in Columbia, and much of South Carolina had in common, whether or not they were acquainted with the family, was the arrogance of Mr. Pierce. The fact that he committed this crime in a very public place, during broad daylight alone, is enough to boggle the mind. In addition to which, here was a woman whose goal was to protect and save lives, that had her life taken, and her killers are now once again up for parole. Mr. Rossi has since passed on, but his Bobbi's mother is still alive, and the fact that she must be subjected to making sure her daughter's killers are kept off the streets, is no less than mind boggling.

This brings me to my main point of this article. There is a petition circulating to oppose the parole of Marcellus Pierce, that will be presented at his parole hearing on January 6, 2010. The signatures should not only come from people who knew Ms. Rossi or are acquainted with her family, but every law abiding citizen, who wishes to keep our communities safe. I apologize for offending anyone, but if you take an innocent life and are sent to jail for the rest of your life, that is where you should spend the rest of your life. Unlike their victims, these murderers still possess life. Someone sentenced to life in prison has had their freedom taken away, a choice they made when they committed the crime. Barbara Rossi did not make the choice to be murdered. So where is the justice in freeing her killer. If you know, please contact me. As one person who agrees that Barbara Rossi's killer should never be set free, put it: letting Barbara Rossi's killers out because they served a certain amount of time, is like rewarding Attila the Hun with Spring break, because he took a day off from killing people.
If this man gets out, it could be the daughter, wife, sister, etc, of someone reading this or hearing about this article.

Spokane, WA (LifeNews.com) -- The Planned Parenthood abortion business in Spokane, Washington has been hit with a $700,000 fine from the state health department. The result of an audit by state officials shows it was routinely overbilling Medicaid for abortions as well as contraception and family planning services.
According to the audit, state health officials found Planned Parenthood of Spokane was "unbundling" abortion claims and falsely billing for doctor visits when customers were picking up prescriptions.
Mary Emanuel and Jonathan B, who run the web site Abortion in Washington (AIW), obtained copies of the audit documents from the Department of Social and Health Services.
They say they show Planned Parenthood has been ordered to reimburse the state $630,000 plus interest for the overpayments.
"The audit did not get into the question of whether the overbilling was part of a systematic fraud scheme, but it also was clear that if this practice continued PPS would lose its Medicaid billing privileges," they write.
AIW says the audit found five categories of overbilling.

It goes without saying that we condemn the murder of George Tiller in no uncertain terms because violence is NEVER a solution for anything ... especially the violence of intentional murder.
Now is a time when it's more important than ever to promote peace=ul, legal methods of saving babies - and abortionists too! - because many in=the news media are paying some attention to "late-term abortion.
Priests for Life is also raising our voice - in the pulpits and classrooms ... as well as on the internet, radio and television - so tha= people see the hidden yet brutal violence of abortion itself: Babies dismembered, decapitated ... and their broken bodies thrown into incinerators.
Make no mistake. Abortion is violence. The=20 irrefutable facts prove it:
During a so-called "partial birth abortion the fully developed baby is pulled out of the mother's protective womb. A pair of razor sharp scissors are jabbed into his neck. His brain is sucked out. Once dead= the baby is fully delivered.
The list we have of hundreds of women who were killed by an abortionist during a procedure we are told is completely is only the tip of the iceberg. Most of these deaths are not reported as abortion-related deaths.
That's in addition to the 1.3 million babies killed every year... without anesthesia ... without mercy.
The instruments of torture used in an abortion - cannula ... cure=te ... forceps ... syringe - are as grim and ghastly as those used by Dr. Mengele and all the Nazi doctors.
The pro-life movement has documented more than 8,519=20 acts of violence and illegal activities by pro-abortionists. These crimes include:

Now before I tell you how we will conduct this new tactic, let me fir=t explain that there are basically two types of abortionists:
Level 1 Abortionists: Those who work at free-standing abortion mi=ls and openly advertise their services.
Level 2 Abortionists: Those who ply their trade at hospitals or=20 private offices without announcing it.
Most of the Level 1 abortionists have learned to live with being know= as an "abortionist." They're willing to take the heat.
But the Level 2 abortionists are much less secure in what they're=doing. They don't mind getting paid for butchering babies. But they want to remain in the shadows. And they definitely don't want anyone to know what t=ey're doing because, as Our Lord said:
For everyone who does evil hates the light that is deeds may not be exposed.
Well, unless those abortionists repent and give up their evil deeds .=.
... Priests for Life is going to shine the light of truth in their deadly work so that what they are doing to tiny, helpless babie= is exposed for everyone in their community to see.

Illegal immigration is hurting school finances

NOTE: I just got this e-mail from a friend of mine in the Filipino-American Society of Greater Columbia, South Carolina. She recieved from a relative, who is quoting an English Teacher from California. I happen to agree with these sentiments.

Subject: Problem in the Public Schools (From=a California school teacher).... >> >> This=English teacher has phrased it the best I've seen yet..... "As you listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration, there are some things that you should be aware=of.... I'm in charge of the English-as-a-second-languag= department at a >> large southern California high school=which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that the students average lower socioeconomic and income levels.&=bsp;>> Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate Bell Gardens,
Huntington Park, etc., where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools. Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast and free lunch program. When
I free breakfast, I'm not talking a=glass of milk and roll, but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fru=ts and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of=this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!) I estimate that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight. About 75% or more have cell phones. The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for babysitters or having family watch their kids. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK) I was ordered to spend $700,000 on my department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; my budget was already substantial. I ended up buy=ng new computers for the computer learning center, half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative stud=nts who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in=America. (OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!) I have had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less then 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them=nbsp;"Putas" (whores) and throwing things that the teachers were in tears. Free medical, free education, free food, day care ., etc, etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled, not only to be in this country, but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements? To those who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and=housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes, let them spend=some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs. Higher insurance, medical facilities closing, higher ;medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc, etc . For me, I'll pay more for=nbsp;tomatoes. We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will voluntarily leave and=return? It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not valu= education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school at age 15 and that refuses to assimilate, an American culture that has become so weak and worried about "politically correctness" that we don't have the will to do anything about it. If this makes your blood boil, as it did mine, forward this to everyone you know. CHEAP LABOR? Isn't that what the whole immigration issue is about? Some businesses do not want to pay a decent wage. Consumers don't want expensive produce. Our Government will tell you Americans don't want the jobs. But the bottom line is cheap labor. The phrase "cheap labor" is a myth, a farce, and a lie. There is no such thing as "cheap labor Take, for example, an illegal alien with a wife and five children takes a job for $5.00 or 6.00/hour. At that wage, with six dependents, he pays no income tax, yet at the end of the year, if he files an Income Tax Return, he gets an "earned income credit" of up to 3,200 free. He qualifies for Section 8 housing and subsidized rent. He qualifies for food stamps. He qualifies for free (no deductible, no co-pay) health care. His children get free breakfasts and lunches at school. He requires bilingual teachers and book.He qualifies for relief from high energy bills. If they are or become, aged, blind or disabled, they qualify for SSI. Once qualified for SSI they can qualify for Medicare, all of this at (our) taxpayer's expense. He doesn't worry about car insurance, life insurance, or homeowners insurance. Taxpayers provide Spanish language signs, bulletins and&=bsp;>> printed material. He and his family receive the equivalemt of $20.00 to $30.00/hour in benefits. Working Americans are lucky to have $5.00 or $6.00/hour left after paying their bills and his. The American Taxpayers >> also pay=for increased crime, graffiti and trash clean-up. Cheap=labor? YEAH RIGHT! Wake up America! PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO AS MANY AS POSSIBLE OR WE WILL ALL GO DOWN THE DRAIN BECAUSE A FEW DON'T CARE.

Governor's Sanford's actions are betrayal of state, and put state in Jeopordy. Govermor should be forced to resign

REASONS WHY SANFORD NEEDS TO LEAVE OFFICE

WRITER’S NOTE: For purposes of journalistic integrity, I feel the need for purposes of disclosure that as someone whose family has lived in South Carolina for almost thirty-one years, and who has been a freelance writer and media consultant, I have met and made friends with various prominent political leaders on both sides of the political Isle. Among those I have met include Lieutenant Governor Bauer, who I have known since high school, and Governor Sanford, whose campaigns I have volunteered.

Up until recently, I have had a great deal of respect for the governor, including at times when I have disagreed with his positions on various political issues. I also still agree with the governor’s position on the stimulus package. It will be detrimental to this state, and as detrimental as his remaining in office.

Having made that disclosure, I must preface my remarks that in writing this article, I am going to have to remember that as a journalist, I need to avoid personalizing the governor’s actions. This is going to be very difficult since I feel like I have been played for as a fool. Just prior to the start of the press conference, a journalist from the “New York Times,” suggested infidelity, and I stated that Governor Sanford in addition to being a man who held positive values, was too predictable and boring to commit adultery. I also feel that the governor of this state has made South Carolinians look like a bunch of Bible thumping hypocrites, to the entire nation. I personally experienced this humiliation, when I phoned a cousin of mine in Washington D.C. who I had just seen at a recent family reunion here in South Carolina. When I called my cousin to warn him what he would see on the national news, I found out he had already been asked by someone “Did you go on any interesting hikes with the governor of South Carolina, while visiting your family in South Carolina.” The call that I made to my cousin was less than an hour following the press conference. Unlike the person who had said this to him, my cousin had not yet heard of Sanford’s indiscretion, and had no idea what the innuendo meant. (I.e. those bible thumping South Carolina relatives of yours have such great values that they elected an adulterer.) The fact that South Carolinians would have to defend our “Bible Belt values” as the real thing to people we know from other states is unacceptable and admittedly something that should be taken personally.

However, from a non-personal point of view, the fact is that Mark Sanford’s actions are no different than those of Bill Clinton’s actions during his presidency, and Republicans “must” hold the governor up to the same standards of behavior and honesty, as President Clinton. I realize that there are those within the state’s Republican Party and this country who have and are going to state that what this man does in private is not the public’s business, and that the man is only human. As a colleague of mine from one of the major television news station here in Columbia stated, after I ran into him,” I know a lot of humans who do not behave in this manner.” As for those on both sides of the political aisle, let me say this: Senator Jake Knotts (Republican-Lexington County) and other South Carolina Republicans, saying that Governor Sanford should be forgiven, are the very same people who justifiably condemned President Clinton, several years ago for similar actions. Likewise Representative Todd Rutherford and other Democrats, calling for Governor Sanford’s resignation, are some of the same people who felt Former President Clinton should be forgiven. I would be remiss in my duty as a journalist not to point out the hypocrisy of these and other elected officials whose political affiliation and agendas are more important than the moral and political stability of those people in this state. Such individuals need to be replaced. However, that is another editorial for another time.

The fact is that South Carolinians take Bible Belt “family values” seriously, and this man was elected twice, because ( at least in part) this man falsely portrayed himself has having those values, when in truth he was not living by up them. This man did just lie to the people of South Carolina; he mocked the values of the people of this state. He therefore, abused not just the trust of South Carolinians, but South Carolinians themselves.

Those people, who state that this man’s private life is his own business, are correct. However, when this man’s affair caused him to jeopardize the smooth running of this state by not telling the Lieutenant governor of his absence, and he used a state paid for car to drive him to the airport, so he could fly to his mistress in Argentina, it became the business of every person in this state. The people of this state do not pay taxes to our elected officials so they can use tax paid vehicles to go off on romantic rendezvous with their lovers.

Neither do the citizens of this state pay taxes to have our state’s well-being put in Jeopardy. Since the governor felt it is more important to use the power of his hormones to please his mistress, than to cater to the moral and physical well-being of the people to whose care he has been entrusted, he showed he did not care about the well-being of this state and its citizens. His actions are no less than pure neglect. When a parent neglects their children, said parent is relieved of those children for the purpose of making sure that those children grow up to become emotionally and physically stable individuals, Likewise Governor Sanford needs to be relieved of his duties as the person in charge of this state, so this stae may be reespected as moral, and may thrive on the dignity and pride of values that have made it the Center of this country's Bible belt and moral compass.

If South Carolina is to keep its values for the survival of this state, and so that the people of this state may continue to teach their children that right is right and wrong is wrong regardless of money, power, or political affiliation, then those elected to represent the citizens in this state need to be urged to ask for Governor Sanford’s resignation. Such actions may be forgivable based on political affiliation in our nation’s capitol, or other states. It is not, and need not become acceptable in South Carolina.

In regards to this, It should be restated at this point for those who will inevitably state that this man’s private life is no one’s business but those of his family and Governor Sanford, as well as those who state you cannot legislate morality, that this man put the smooth running of this state in jeopardy by (1) Not telling the Lieutenant governor of his absence in case pressing business needed to be dealt with (2) by lying to his staff members about his whereabouts, and (3) by creating a situation that not only makes puts this state in a negative light to the point that people view South Carolinians a hypocrites, but to the degree that people will not want to visit or move to a state that “does not practice what we preach.” South Carolina is already on the bottom of the list in almost every other category; let’s not let our elected officials put us on the bottom of the list in the areas of honesty and positive family values.

Furthermore it needs to be re-stated that a state funded vehicle was used to take him to the airport for this personal event, which is clearly a misuse of taxpayer funds.

In closing, I would like to sincerely state that as someone who believes in the sanctity of marriage, I hope the Sanford’s work out their marriage, and that their children survive this tragedy. However, whether this man saves what is left of his marriage, one thing remains clear. He needs to resign or forceably removed, so this state’s image moral and political stability may remain intact.

“Baby Boomers need to also be held accountable for Moral and Economic Problems in this Country and the world”

It has often been stated that the “Baby Boomers” have affected the United United and even the world, more than any other within the past 100 years. It has also been said that the same group of people have done more to advance this country and the world, than any other generation. I have no doubt that both of these statements are true. Clearly, the Baby Boomers have done a great deal to bring their younger siblings, children and grandchildren to moral and church going ways. As a former Peace Corps volunteer, and as a generation xer, I am quite aware that Baby Boomers were the first Peace Corps Volunteers. It was the Baby Boomer, who as hippies in the 1960s and 1970’s warned us about the depletion of the ozone layer, global warming, and the adverse affects of landfills on the natural and economic environments. They also protested not only against wars, but also the greed of corporations and the “keeping of with the Jones attitudes, created and endorsed by their grandparents. An example of this, would be Patricia (Pattie) Hearst and the symbonise Lebanese Army (SLA) referring to her parents (owners of Hearst Communications) as greedy “Fascist pigs) in the early 1970s.

However, it may be and should be argued that the same group of people who did so much to advance this country in the 1960s and 1970s, have done just as much to destroy it, by giving up their values. The same group of people who bought to fruition the efforts their parents stated as part of the civil rights movement by giving this country women’s rights, eighteen year olds the right to vote, and the 1965 Voting Rights Act,” also successfully fought for the right to abort an unborn child, the death penalty, and Euthanasia. These people, who are so intent on having the current generation to emphasize family values, were the same group of people who increased divorce, left the church, and made promiscuous sexual activity acceptable. Let’s face it; Woodstock has become known as one of the biggest musical drug induced sexfest, in the history of this country. As a matter of fact the big joke is “that if you remember Woodstock, you probably were not there.” A quote referring to the drug induced orgies in which many of the “hippies now known as Baby Boomers, took part.

However, it is not their actions of the 1960 and 1970s that destroyed this country, since the probably did more harm than good during those decades. It is their actions as the media labeled Yuppie (Buppies if you are African-Americans) of the 1980’s and 1990s. These same people who fought against greed and the keeping up with the Jones attitude, chose to sell out for their middle class, Upper middle class and wealthy life styles, in which they were portrayed in movie such as “Wall Street,” that gave us pithy little slogans such as “Greed is Good.” These are the same people who were being portrayed in movies such as “Dangerous Liaisons,” that glorified sexual promiscuity that they complained about, when the same attitudes were portrayed in television shows, such as “Sex in the City.”

It was these former Hippies, who became the media labeled yuppies (Buppies if you are African-American), of the 1980s and 1990s, those now referred to as Baby Boomers, who are the same people who got us into the “savings and loan crisis of the late 1980s. Most of usof the generation x crowd ,were in high school, or beginning college, when that mess happened. While my generation must in part take responsibility for the current economic crises, we were not the primary power brokers. The Baby Boomers were. Yes, money and power has the ability to corrupt, and to a large degree it corrupted the people now known as Baby Boomers.
While it is true that my generation and the generations that followed, who behaved like spoiled brats if we could not have our designer clothes, computers, cell phones, so we could keep up with our friends. It is also true that we learned these materialistic values from our older siblings and parents, who belong to the“Baby Boomer” generation, rather than the less materialistic values formerly exhibited in the 1960’s and 1970s, and later abandoned in the subsequent decades, for wealth and prestigious images. Unless we obtained the money from our “Baby Boomer” siblings and/or parents, during the 1980s we could not afford $2.00 for bottled water, because it had Perrier written across a bottle. Neither could we afford to pay $5.00-$6.00 for a cup of coffee, because the cup that would inevitably end up in a landfill, had “Starbuck’s” written across the cup! It was those Yuppies (former hippies) now known as “Baby Boomers,” who could afford and did pay such outrageous prices.

I am thrilled that “Baby Boomers such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs have created technology based companies that initially helped this country’s economic structure. What I do not appreciate, is that fact that these same people and other such business leaders have allowed their greed to create new computer programs (e.g. windows) that make computer hardware and software obsolete every couple of years, causing these systems to end up in a landfill, along with the “Starbuck’s” cups. Neither do I appreciate “Baby Boomer” politicians such Al Gore, George Bush, Orack Obama, or anyone else preaching to society about the jobs that are being lost to illegal immigrants or to jobs going overseas, when these problems occurred and persist, due to the fact that these same individuals created and attempt to create laws that give illegal immigrants a free ride, or allow corporations to go outside the country, by creating laws such as the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), so these companies may make a larger profit, Thus allowing more money to be donated to their political campaigns.
Essentially, most of the people in the “Baby Boomer generation,” are behaving in ways towards younger people, just as their parents did thirty and forty years ago. In many cases the “Baby Boomers, “have contributed less to the advancement of this country, than their predecessors. For example, while “Baby Boomers” protested against the Vietnam war, which was primarily run by their parents’ generation, unlike their grandparents and parents, “Baby Boomers” have chosen not have not taken the lead in motivating themselves or anyone else in recent economic and military conflicts, to make sacrifices. Examples of this are: instead of eating out at fast food and full service restaurant, growing their own vegetables and eating at home. Neither in the most recent economic crisis was anyone encouraged to save energy by carpooling or recycling rubber for oil, or saving money by playing board games, and spending time at home. On the contrary, the “Baby Boomers” now leading this country, have done just the opposite.

I am not saying that the generations that followed the “Baby Boomer Generation, have not royally messed up, and contributed to the lack of economic and moral discipline in our country and throughout the world. We have. On the Contrary! My point is that while we admit to preceding and subsequent generations, that we have contributed to various problems, “Baby Boomers have been allowed to rest on their laurels, and refrain from admitting to the fact that “many of them” have hurt society by selling out to the almighty dollar and prestige. The truth is that “Baby Boomers” have passed down and perpetuated many of these materialistic ideals dto subsequent generations. Yet, they have the audacity to criticize these subsequent generations for having these values. What hypocritical nerve!

There is an old and humorous analogy that deals with the politically based economics that are defines a country’s political philosophy. The analogy goes something like this: “In a free capitalist society, you can buy a cow, and unless you sell it is yours. In a socialist society the government owns at least half the cow and “allows” you to own what is left, and in a communist society the government owns the cow, but convinces you own it.” In other words, in a capitalist society an individual may buy and sell property for the purpose of profit, while risking lost. In a socialist society, an individual may own property but need to obtain permission needs to make a profit of his/her property, and depending on how much of the property the individual owns, that person’s profit or loss may be equal or less than that of the government’s. If the government owns more of the property, they gain more profit, and if they lose money, they just make up for that loss by taxing private property, Causing the private individual to lose even more, while the government either breaks even or profits on that loss. In a communist society, the government owns everything, and taxes people who have nothing.

I bring up and explain this analogy, because in January, President Obama and the Democratic controlled congress took an oath to uphold the principles of the United States of America. The principles of “our great country” are based on a capitalist system of free enterprise. Yet, this man and his cronies appear to be taking this country in a socialist direction, as shown by the Government’s recent purchase of 60% ownership of General Motors.

However, the truth is that during the election, and then Senator Obama outlined their socialist agenda overtly by brainwashing the American people into believing he wanted to help them. He did this by promising free healthcare to all Americans, and a system in which every American would prosper. President Obama’s and the “Liberals’” method of alleged socialistic activism is unique in that “to my knowledge” socialism has historically been accomplished by brainwashing the poor and uneducated. Examples of this are China and the former Soviet Union (U.S.S.R, which eventually became communist countries. In contrast, President Obama and the Liberals also successfully achieved their goals by brainwashing the middle class and educated classes. Now, I am not suggesting that we are at risk of becoming a communist country. This country has too many educated people for that to happen, in my opinion.

Also, in all fairness to some of the people who helped put President Obama and the liberals in office, not everyone who voted for President Obama entirely at fault. Like all good con-artist Obama and the liberals used timing and fear to get into power. Specifically they played upon the fear of people adversely affected by an economic crisis which admittedly, began under the watch of President George W. Bush. They used this opportunity to make guarantees of free health care to everyone, while concurrently lowering their taxes. Under normal circumstances many of these same voters would have been able to figure out that a country whose social security system has been bankrupt for over 30 years, cannot possibly offer free healthcare to every person in this country, without either raising taxes, taking over private companies, or both.

As a result, “GM no longer stands for “General Motors,” but “Government Motors.” The fact is If GM prospers; the liberals now in power will get 60% of the profits contributed to their expense accounts and pork projects. If the government loses money on the GM buy out, there is a very real possibility that the private shareholders that own 40% of GM and the rest of us will be taxed at a higher tax rate. Either way, the American public is likely to end up funding the pork projects and the pockets of the liberals’ political and business cronies. Ultimately the Obama Administration has created an economic win-win situation for the tax and spend liberals now in power, and a lose-lose situation for the American taxpayer.

I will close my remarks unapologetically, by stating that because I do not wish to live in a country run on a socialist form of economics, I sincerely hope I am wrong. However, I plan to keep a very close watch on our national leadership to make sure socialist policies are not put in place, and I hope you do likewise.

Remember, the definition of a socialist economic system as part of a country’s political policy, is that the government owns part of the private property, company, or industry, therefore limiting the ability for private individuals to prosper.

Obama, Democrats using nomination of prominant South Carolinians to turn South carolina from conservative to Oppressive Liberal State

First, I would like to preface my comments by stating that my reasons for choosing this I topic for my first Blog article. The fact is that the Republican Party, which was founded by Abraham Lincoln, as a grassroots slave abolitionist movement, has begun to become complacent, and a Will Rodgers type of political party.

For those people who wonder what I mean by a Will Rodgers type of political party, let me explain. Will Rodgers was a well known humorist who once exclaimed “I do not belong to any organized political party, I’m a Democrat.” Having explained my reason for choosing this topic as my first Blog article, I will now continue with my comments.
President Obama’s three most recent appointments of South Carolina natives is a clear indication that he (and most definitely the Democratic Party are playing the “Political Color” card to advance their agendas of Gay Marriage, Abortion, and what appears to be the destruction of the free enterprise system of this country, via the socialization of our country’s private companies. (I.e. bailing out our banks and failing automobile companies with tax payer dollars, only to have the federal government to control them.

Now it should be made clear that when I say that President Obama and the Democrats are using the appointees as a way of using the “Color Card” to advance their political agenda, I am not using the term synonymously with the phrase “Race Card.” I am specifically referring to the fact that not only conservatives, but anyone who cares about South Carolina and this country, need to wake up and smell the melted horse manure that is being served up as cappuccino. I am referring to the fact that President Obama’s appointments, and the Democratic Party’s attempt to turn South Carolina from a “red” (Republican) state to a “blue” Democratic state.
Now let’s explore a few facts to prove my assertion that these three South Carolina natives is a likely ploy to change the dominant political affiliation of South Carolina. Let’s begin with racial demographics. Depending on who you speak to, African-Americans not only make up 12%-15% of our country, population, they also make up 33%-40% of South Carolina. It should also be pointed out here that the African-American community no longer falls into fastest growing minority group in this country. For close to ten years, this honor has fallen to the Hispanic/Latino Community. So there is no reason for any politician regardless of race to make a special effort to cater to the Africa-American by appointing an African to a high ranking position. I would also be remiss that one of President Obama’s three nominees (former secretary of Education, Inez Tennebaum) is actually Caucasian.

Now the career qualifications of these three nominees (General Charles Bolden, Former Secretary Tennebaum, Ms. Mignon Clyburn-eldest daughter of U.S. Representative James Clyburn (Dem.-S.C.), are not being questioned here. I personally would like to see General Bolden confirmed as head of NASA, and feel that Ms. Clyburn is qualified to be considered for such an honor. This is about the fact that the one thing that makes these three so important to the liberal agenda is that they are from South Carolina. More important to the liberals is that these three individuals are not only from a state that has two to three times the African-American Population, but a state where historically, at least 90% of all African-Americans will vote Democrat.

For example, in the 1990’s Attorney, Richard Harpootlian insulted the African-American community, by stating that he did not want to buy the African-American vote for a day, he just wanted “to quote rent it.” Now everybody knows that something that is rented is of less value to an individual than something that is purchased. Leaders within the African-American community took this as the insult that it was intended to be. Yet, they and the African-American community blindly gave this man who, they would later worship as head of the Democratic Party, more than 90% of the African-American vote. This has even occurred with our National representatives in the Democratic Party. I seem to remember viewing a news cast where then U.S. Senator Ernest (“Fritz”) Hollings stated that he was so glad that Africa was getting financial aid, because on a previous visit Africa, years earlier, had observed that “them potentates were just eating each other up.” Now in spite of the fact that this man implied that our cultural brothers and sisters in Africa were nothing better than cannibals, African-Americans gave this man the vote because he wore the label “Democrat.”

Now Obama and the Democrats know that this sort of blind justice to a party whose purpose is to socialize and destroy the moral values of this state and country, because of the political label that is worn, is all they need to enslave the people (including African-Americans) into of this country into a system that goes against their consciences

An example of what I am talking about is the Liberal camp’s attempt to deplete the morals of this country, by pushing the pro-gay platform, in spite of the fact that about 60% of all Americans, and an even higher percentage of African-Americans are against this type of life style.

Add to this the fact that people are more likely to vote for someone, because they are from that same state, I would not be surprised if the Democrats are attempting to open doors for representative Clyburn and/or some other prominent African-American from South Carolina to successfully run for U.S. Senate, because that African-American wears the label Democrat. If this happens, South Carolina becomes a “blue” state; we will risk becoming just another amoral, socialistic state. Rather than remaining the center of county’s Bible belt. Many of the Christian moral values that have succeeded in making this state so strong have come from the African-American Community. It is no mistake that the percentage of African-Americans in this state make up 2-3 times the national average, and that South Carolinians are church goers in far greater numbers.

I began my remarks by stating that Abraham Lincoln, the father of the conservative movement, founded the movement on a grassroots abolitionist movement. I would however if I did not mention the man who is celebrated as father of the liberal Democrat movement. You may have heard of him, Thomas Jefferson. Now Thomas Jefferson as a founding father and great presidential leader was also a man who infamously owned slaves. I f the people in this country do not wake up, and get back to the conservative grassroots values of Abraham Lincoln, not only African-Americans but all Americans will be enslaved with the amoral and unconscionable values of liberals. Except this time, the slavery will not be in the form of chains, but political brainwashing, through the use of labels. The slave owning president will not be a white man named Jefferson, but a black man named Obama.
The Bottom Line is, that if Bolden, Clyburn, and Tennenbaum are confirmed (I personally would like to see Bolden confirmed) the people of South Carolina must under no circumstances allow this door to making this a blue state, remain open, under any circumstances.
